Mancat Monday: Remembering Cupcake

Cupcake, Forever Loved

Some of you might remember that our dear friend, Rachel, lost her kitty, Maxie, earlier this year.

Rachel also takes care of a feral colony.  She does a great job of taking care of them, and the ferals are lucky to have her.

One of her ferals went to the Rainbow Bridge last week.

Cupcake was an independent mancat who liked to wander around.  He loved his ginger kitty "brothers" (though not from the same litter), and he used to cuddle with them.  Cupcake also used to play and cuddle with Peri, another kitty in the feral colony.

We will all miss Cupcake.  I never met him, but I felt like I got to know him through Rachel's messages and letters to me.  He seemed like a special guy.

Run free, sweet Cupcake!

  1. Feral kitties are extra special 'cause they do their best to make it on their own. I wasn't feral, I don't think, just a stray kitty who got real lucky. Purrs for Cupcake. Fly free! - Tomx

  9. We don't love them less just because they never came inside. They may not start out as friendly as house cats, but when their trust and love is gained, it is worth more.
