Mancat Monday

Hi everyone, it's mes, Carmine!

As many of yous know, Lita's leg has been hurting hers a lot lately.  But mes, being the helpful brother mes is, mes sits ON hers to make hers leg feel better.  Mes used to do the same thing when the Mom had the same injury as Lita back in 2010.  Theys made the Mom wait five months to has surgery on hers foot, so mes would sit on the Mom's hurt and borken foot and purr.  The Mom said it hurt a lot for mes to sit on hers foot, but hers let mes stay there most of the time anyways because hers knows that kitty purrs can help heal bones.

But the Mom says I can't sit on Lita!  Doesn't hers realize mes is trying to be helpful?  What do yous think?  Don't yous think mes should be able to sit on Lita?

The Mom is working hard to save up for a second opinion on Lita's leg.  Hers says that realistically hers probably can't get another opinion for a couple of months.  The Mom wants to make sure hers is doing everything hers can for Lita.

For now, our vet has put Lita on a low dose of buprenorphine.  Hers also takes gabapentin for the leg pain.  The Mom gets Lita down from the bed whenever hers can so she doesn't jump as much and further injure her leg, too.

Wes will keep yous posted.  In the meantime, maybe you can send a few purrs for Lita's leg since the Mom won't let mes sit on it and purr....

  1. Carmine, you are a very good nurse cat! I'll send purrs to Lita's leg, and to your momma's heart that is sore for Lita, and to you, Carmine, since you are sandwiched between all of this. Take care.

  9. Purrayers and POTP to Lita, Carmine. Maybe you could lie next to her and purr and your warmth and purrs could help her leg without you being on top of her.

We sure are purring and praying that Lita's leg feels better soon. And that Mom can get a second opinion that will help.

  12. Just try sitting really close to her, Carmine! Then the purrs will still reach her leg.
