To Catch a Cat Book Review

In To Catch a Cat, journalist Heather Green was finally settling down in Manhattan.  She loved her job, spending 60 hours a week there.  She liked her new boyfriend, Matt, who lived on the other side of the river in New Jersey, but she wasn't sure what to think about the small town of Union City where he lived.

That all changes one summer morning when Heather finds a lovely stray and her three kittens in Matt's neighbor's backyard.  She felt a connection with the cats and a need to save them.  The world of cat rescuing drew Heather and Matt in as they worked together to trap, socialize, and find homes for the three little kittens - Number Three, Two Spot, and Zero.

Heather begins to question what is really important in life.  The kittens teach her about what really matters - love and community.

I enjoyed watching Heather evolve over the course of this book.  I also loved hearing about how she tamed these three feral kittens.  I can only imagine the joy she felt with each little step the kittens took toward no longer fearing humans.  I admire the work she did with these and so many other cats and kittens in her community.

I believe cat lovers everywhere will really enjoy this book!

FTC Disclosure: I received a copy of, "To Catch a Cat," by Heather Green for a fair and honest review.  Receiving the book did not influence my opinions.  All opinions expressed on Fur Everywhere are my own.

  1. Only wished she has written more about her TNR work afterward, but I understand the focus of the book was those kittens.
