Natural Balance L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Chicken & Pumpkin We Cat Food Review: #ChewyInfluencer

Last month, I was really excited when I saw that Chewy.com was offering Natural Balance L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets Chicken & Pumpkin Formula with Shreds Grain-Free Wet Cat Food because Carmine and Milita enjoy several other Natural Balance products.  Carmine really likes the Limited Ingredient Diet Chicken & Green Pea and Turkey & Giblets as well as the non-fish-flavored platefuls pouches.

The ingredients in Natural Balance L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets Chicken & Pumpkin include: Chicken, chicken broth, pumpkin, canola oil, tricalcium phosphate, natural flavor, salt, calcium sulfate, potassium chloride, minerals (ferrous sulfate, zinc oxide, maganese sulfate, copper glycine, complex, potassium iodide, sodium selenite), taurine, vitamins (Vitamin E supplement, niacin supplement, thiamine mononitrate, vitamin A supplement, D-calcium pantothenate, riboflavin supplement, pyridoxine hydrochloride, vitamin D3 supplement, menadione sodium bisolfite complex (source of vitamin K activity), folic acid, biotin, vitamin B12 supplement), choline chloride, and carrageenan.

The first time Carmine and Lita tried the L.I.D. Chicken & Pumpkin, they both turned their noses up at it!  The second time I gave it to them, Carmine ate a few bites and walked away.  Lita ate some of hers but not all of it.

This really surprised me.  Carmine and Lita usually like any non-fish-flavored Natural Balance food.  I will try feeding it to them again, though.  Carmine has been very up and down in his eating lately, and we have had to give him pain medication for his pancreatitis.  He might like the Chicken & Pumpkin more when he's feeling up to eating more.

Last month, I also volunteered at a fundraising event for Angels with Paws, a local cat shelter.  Chewy.com was very kind and donated some items for our silent auction!  Thank you so much for your help, Chewy!  All the items found good homes. :)

You can purchase Natural Balance wet cat food as well as everything else you need for your kitty at Chewy.com.  Orders of $49 or more ship for free.

  1. That was very nice of Chewy to donate items for your silent auction! Very good review! This sounds like the kind of food our Dad would check out for us. He's learning about phosphorus in foods that aren't good for cats with kidney disease, so here's another choice he can check out.

  2. We've been using Natural Balance LID Venison and Green Pea for Angel and Chuck for a long time now, and buy the Salmon and Green Pea kibble for the 'O' cats, 'cause there is no way to NOT feed them some kibble.

  7. I'm not a fan of chicken or a fan of eating when the flashy box is around. Maybe they'll eat it without the flashy box.

  8. We've tried the L.I.D. Foods too and usually we like them. We may give this one a try.

  9. We got a couple samples of the chicken/pumpkin at BlogPaws and Bear loved it ... of course, I fed it to him as a treat and he's less picky that way.
