Denver Dumb Friends League Hosts 7th Annual CatFest

Photo from CatFest 2014.

On July 11 from 10a.m. to 3p.m., Denver Dumb Friends League will be hosting the seventh annual CatFest!

This year, CatFest will feature:

  • Hundreds of adoptable kittens and cats waiting for forever homes.
  • Waived adoption fees on all cats one year of age and older.  Each adopter will also receive a goodie bag to take home with their new cat.
  • Meow Market - Dozens of vendors selling food and cat-related products.
  • Fun photo opportunities.
  • Colorado Cats Count T-shirts, car magnets, and more will also be available for purchase (I've got to snag one of those shirts this year)!
  • Clicker training demonstrations.
Last year's CatFest was the first time I attended, and it was a ton of fun!  I plan on going again this year.

Last year, I met a cool cat named Hobbes and nearly took him home with me.  I'm sure he found a wonderful and loving home.  Who wouldn't fall in love with a friendly and adorable orange mancat?  Hobbes is pictured to the left, but he didn't want to look at the camera for me.  Denver Dumb Friends League successfully adopted out over 200 cats at last year's CatFest.  I'd love to see them adopt even more this year!  You can see some of the cats available for adoption here.

If you're in the Denver area, I hope you'll check out this cat-tastic event.
